I'm entering my 28th year in Education. I look forward to building relationships with my tigers here at Grand Lakes. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Communications degree. I taught elementary school for 9 years then went Prairie View A&M where I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling degree. I'm a native Houstonian! Born and raised in Houston; love my Astros and Texans. I'm a huge sports fan. LSU is my favorite college team. My son played football for the Tigers (Geaux Tigers!) Now that my son is grown and married, I have begun to travel often with family and friends. Life is about enjoying and every moment while making great memories.

Hey there Tigers and Tiger families! My name is Ashlee Sumrall, and I am so happy to be one of the counselors here at GLJH! I have been a counselor in Tomball ISD since January 2018. Prior to that I was a teacher and a coach in Magnolia ISD for about 8 years. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor and work in a private practice in the Tomball/Magnolia area. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two kiddos in high school. Both of my kiddos play sports, so I will probably see some of you on the fields somewhere. When I am not at work or at a game, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends camping or taking our boat out on the lake. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and having a fantastic year!
